Safety is the key to survival.

The most important about our yacht courses is that we always make sure our guests firstly know how to swim.

Anything can happen on the water so we have taken some very standard safety precautions to ensure nothing every goes wrong. Below is a check list of items that we have an spend some time briefing every body on board.

  • Every one wears a life jacket with a crutch strap all the time

  • You need to know how to swim or paddle

  • A life saver is on board the vessel

  • An up to date epirb is on the vessel this is an electronic satelite once deployed it notifies marine authorities of a serious issue. An then within a short time you are rescued. This is only deployed at the very last minute of a serious danger.

  • We have an 8 man automatic life raft to be deployed via a rope opening up into a complete onboard life raft. Each person must go on one at a time either from the vessel or from the water.

  • There is a radio operated cb that communicates with marine authorities to report a danger or threat on VHF an UHF for coastal Courses.

  • We have some medication to help with sea sickness or illness

  • To ensure that everyone is safe you will be briefed on the safety requirements that will be prepared to you in your contract charter service. Any other questions can be asked direct to the trainers by email or phone call before the departure.
